Temporary Galleries - Fascinating Mummies, National Museum of Scotland
DHA Designs were delighted to continue their relationship with the National Museum of Scotland following their successful collaboration on the permanent galleries (2011). Fascinating Mummies, the first special exhibition in the refurbished space, is a dramatic journey through the Egyptian mummification process.
DHA Designs worked closely with Studio MB to bring some theatricality to the experience, without diminishing the objects. Carefully –controlled fibre optic case lighting highlighted the wonderful collection, with texture and water effects supplementing the setworks. The exhibition was well-received critically and commercially including a 5-star Scotsman review.
